VANDE MATARAM LATA MANGESHKAR

Vande Maataram is a poem written in highly sanskritized Bengali by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1870s, which he included in his 1882 Bengali novel. It was after Tagore's assurance that the Indian National Congress adopted Vande Mataram as the national song in 1937. 'Vande Mataram' is well known as the National Song of our country. Utterance of the words 'Vande Mataram' gave freedom fighters and the common public.
